Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Cross-Border Driver to operate a tractor trailer transporting recyclables between Canada and the United States. This role requires strict compliance with all transportation regulations, border crossing protocols, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will be experienced in long-haul driving, professional in demeanor, and committed to responsible handling of regulated materials.

 Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily routine vehicle inspection.
• Perform visual inspection of secured loaded material to comply with delivery ticket.
• Safely operate, transport and off-load construction and demolition waste while returning with bulk materials.
• Report any defects.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and take note of any special instructions.
• Complete daily truck log sheets.
• Clean debris from truck.
• Operate Tractor Trailer according to all relevant highway/road acts.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm (flexible).  You may be required to start earlier or later and finish earlier or later depending on customer/company requirements. Additional overtime hours may be required as per business demands.

 Competencies:

• Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• 3-5 years related experience.
• Possession of a valid AZ driver’s license.
• Drug & Alcohol Testing is mandatory and will be conducted randomly.
• Communicate (read/write in English) efficiently and read road maps.
• General knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area and upper state of USA.
• Flexible in travelling from one yard to another when required.
• Having your own transportation is a great asset.
